NEW WEST CENTRE FOR THE ARTS is Calgary’s premier destination for faith-driven arts excellence! As the dynamic home of New West’s performance ensembles and Music Academy, this centrally-located facility boasts two spacious rehearsal halls and three fully-equipped classrooms. Designed to foster creativity and collaboration, it offers endless opportunities for New West to connect with other arts organizations in our city.
New West Centre for the Arts (NWCA) is located at 1382 Hastings Cres. SE. The space was designed specifically for Calgary’s performing arts community to gather, make music, learn and grow.
When not in use by New West’s own choir and orchestra ensembles and music lessons, our acoustically-treated rehearsal halls and classrooms are available for outside community organizations and groups to rent.
Rehearsal Halls: New West Centre for the Arts has two rehearsal halls, one for large groups and one for smaller groups. Both halls are equipped with folding chairs, music stands and a piano, and are perfectly-suited for:
- choir, ensemble, band rehearsals
- jam sessions
- blocking rehearsals
- music school recitals
- small church services
Music Studio Classrooms: When not in use by New West Music Academy, New West Centre for the Arts has three distinct music classrooms available for rent.
